Private Lessons
Sewing 101
Learn the basics of sewing on your own machine or one of ours. Using a simple project, such as a tote bag or pillow, we will cover key techniques including setting up and threading your machine, measuring and cutting fabric, project assembly and sewing, and putting on the finishing touches. Sessions last for 90 minutes and are $65.00 per person. Lessons can be private (one individual) or semi-private (invite your family or friends to learn with you). Ages 7+ are welcome.
Project Lesson
Do you have a particular project in mind or a sewing technique you want help with? In our project lessons, we will work with you step by step on a project of your choosing . Options range from quilting and home decor to simple apparel, and will be discussed when you set up your lesson. Sessions are booked in 2 hour blocks and are $65.00 per person. If you have a group of 4 or more for a lesson, the cost is $60 person. Ages 7+ are welcome, though if students are younger than 10, they must have taken a Sewing 101 lesson previously. Students can bring their own materials or purchase materials from our selection.
Groups & Parties
If you would like to include a lesson at our studio as part of an event or party you are planning we are happy to work with you to select a simple project that fits your theme or interests. Parties must be 4 - 8 people in size due to our space constraints. Projects, which are generally geared to be finished in a short period of time, will be selected when we schedule your event. Sessions range from 90 minutes to 3 hours and are $30.00 per person per hour. Depending on the project selected, there may be a basic materials fee as well.
Payment & Cancellations
Payment must be made at time of reservation online or at the studio. Cancellations for Sewing 101 must be made at least 48 hours before the class in order to receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. Because Project Lessons require prep work for us ahead of time, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before and will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. For large groups and parties, cancellation must be made at least 7 days before the day of the event for a full refund.
