About Stephanie

Stephanie to began hand sewing at an early age and, with those initial projects, discovered a joy in the making process that continued into adulthood.

Stephanie became a full time maker and creative small business owner. in 2013. Her work has always focused on custom projects as getting to work one on one with clients is one Stephanie's favorite parts of the job. At first, the studio was centered around custom home decor work for Boston locals. However, as the business grew, so did Stephanie's interest in quilting. In 2016, Stephanie transitioned her work to match her passion, focusing on custom memory quilts. and quilt repairs.

During the pandemic, Stephanie organized the Boston Area Mask Initiative, Boston-based grassroots organization of makers and volunteers who provided handmade fabric masks to medical and essential workers and at-risk populations affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Stephanie lives happily in Provincetown with her family, but travels between Boston and the Cape regularly. In her spare time she loves to garden, bake, cook and work on creating her own quilts. She is also the President of the Cambridge Modern Quilt Guild, located in Cambridge, MA.

Welcome! We're a small custom quilting and sewing studio located in Boston + Provincetown. Stephanie Cave, who has sewn since she was old enough to pick up a needle, opened the studio in 2013, following her dream to become a creative business owner and full time maker. Growing out of custom home interior work, our studio now focuses on Stephanie's true sewing passion - quilting. All our projects, designed and handmade entirely in-house, range from custom memory and photograph quilts to ready made throws and wall hangings. We also specialize in quilt repair.
